Whenever someone reaches your site, they are expecting to see relevant content. Chances are they found your site and clicked on the link because it contained information that they were interested in. In an attempt to convert website traffic, some marketers create pages designed to extract information from the visitors before they are allowed to view information on the website. The marketers will ask for e-mail addresses, or they may even ask for the prospective member to sign up and create an account in order to gain access to information on the site. How effective is this method, and does it increase traffic or sales in any way?

If your website is offering free information such as "how to create a blog", it can be a good idea to get information from the visitors beforehand. It depends on how effective your landing page is. It would be a good idea to offer detailed information of all of the features that the visitors will get for free and ask them a few questions. Now you know a little more information about your visitors, and as long as you offer them quality content, they will be back. If you frequently update your website with content, you will have the ability to grow a large base of people interested in your offers.

Once there is an increased amount of traffic to your site, you have the option of promoting products to your visitors. Since you know that your audience is already interested in blogging, this would be the perfect time to offer them blog related products. 3. How to get blog traffic: Everybody would like to increase blog traffic, your regular visitors might be interested in more information on how increase the popularity of their blogs.

Membership sites are effective in increasing website traffic because people will link to your site and spread the word about it. This will only occur if you have a quality site. Your main focus shouldn't be on instantly making a product, because you won't retain a loyal following using that method. If you are consistent with your content, you will have increased website traffic and more prospective customers.
